The pastrami and the pork rib chowder were excellent! Worth the wait. The smoked turkey is also a great choice; so moist and flavorful. Oh and the bratts...haven’t had anything yet that I wouldn’t get again. That goes for the chocolate and truffles too.

Brisket and ribs were gone by the time we got there, which of course is a risk when looking for good BBQ after 2 pm in Houston, but everything we did try was fantastic. The pulled pork was the best I've had anywhere due to the seasoning. Pastrami was something I've never seen at a BBQ joint and we will definitely be returning to try out the Reuben. Turkey, sausage, pork belly all fantastic. Potato salad is mayo based with green onion and though I usually prefer mustard based, I really enjoyed it. I was looking forward to trying the mole, but it didn't make it into our order, I don't think they heard me say it; will definitely try that next time. We finished our lunch with some truffles from the chocolate counter. All in all, this place was worth the 50 minute drive and we will definitely be back! Thanks Tejas Chocolate + BBQ!

Usually have a line. No need to crowd the inside like sardines to be in the line. Service and food are excellent. Cute new order taker, but you didn't hear that from me. Don't sleep on the chocolates. Order before the BBQ and enjoy as part dessert, if you were able to leave room.
